Nothing is more important than safety although thrill seeking and adventurous activities can pose a level of risk we ensure that you know how to partake in a sport or activity safely and, if you want to move to a more extreme level, we explain how you can minimise the risks whilst still having a wonderful time. We always promote the correct equipment to use, and how to use it properly. All of our featured activities contains a Safety First briefing.
Practical Advice: We know how important it is to get the right information about your sport or activity so we ensure we always aim to provide high quality and in-depth information in an easy to understand format without the use of jargon (although our JARGON BUSTER tool can help you learn the various terms and phrases for your sport) .
Professional Training: Nothing can compare to professional training delivered by qualified trainers who can carefully guide you through how to safely learn and practice the required techniques in a controlled environment. We know the importance of learning a sport properly so we provide important information and links (where appropriate) to help you find a professional and recognised training programme.
Medical Advice: Before taking part in a new sport or activity you should consult your doctor or other healthcare worker to identify any potential risks to your wellbeing. This is particularly important if you are pregnant, elderly, suffered previous injuries, suffering from a long term medical condition, or disabled. Whilst these conditions do not preclude you from taking part in most activities, getting advise can help you adapt to suit your individual needs.
